12 website illustrations for DoeTank, a sustainable housing initiative in the Netherlands. The imagery represents different stages of project planning and implimentation. The project consisted of a website header, and two series of eight and three illustrations for components of the initiative.
Design Problem:
Create a series of custom illustrations to enhance the visual appeal and comprehension of a website that helps municipalities in the Netherlands guide residents in making their homes more sustainable. The website’s banner illustration should be more detailed, capturing the overall initiative and reference numerous aspects of improving one’s home from a sustainability standpoint. The illustrations for each stage should be simpler and distinguish each step of the technical process, making it feel more approachable, accessible, and human. Through the use of color and content, each illustration should have its own visual identity and be distinct from the others.
