Packaging design for premium Australian Wagyu Beef company SHIMO, inspired bu the distinctive marbling patterns prized in Wagyu beef cuts.
Design Problem:
Create a sophisticated and artistic packaging design solution for SHIMO premium Wagyu Beef. The Australian beef market is flooded with similar looking 2D brands that are all fighting to portray a premium look and ironically none are looking premium or interesting. The SHIMP brand name is derived from Shimofuri, which means marbling in Japanese. Explore an artful approach for a digital piece which will be printed on a carton box approx 80x40cm. The illustrated assets will also be used to form the visual identity of the brand across several physical and online brand touchpoints.
